Lost
There is a railway station in Lairg (about an hours drive from here and the best place to pick up the train if you want to public transport to Inverness). Lairg is noted as a stopping point for the trains between Inverness and Wick on all the timetables. Lairg isn't very big. But I can't work out where the trains stop - I mean - where is the train station in Lairg? I've looked, driven through it, round it and across it, but there is no evidence of railway lines or station.

looks like it's outside of town, somewhere south-east...

How do you post these long links so they actually work? Hmmm. Well, just google Lairg train station and it gives you the exact location, plus the number to call for directions: +44 845 601 5929.
hey, there's even a picture of it here:

Ah, sorry, it's just too much fun to look up directions for someone in Scotland from LA :) I do this sometimes for my brother, who'll call when he's in the car over yonder in Europe trying to get somewhere, and I get to look it up over here and tell him where to turn...cracks me up every time. Ah, life in the times of the Internet...
I don't know how to post links in comments - but it's a simple matter to copy and paste. Nice piccy!
Here's how to include a working link to another page and put in text to click on:
<_a href="www.mypage.com">Go here!<_/a>
Remove the _ symbols, replace "www.mypage.com" with the link and "Go here!" with whatever you want to actually appear.
For example: Go here!
Why, thanks! And nice picture :) that's not you, though, I hope? Judging by the blinds, it's some poor soul in the US...
